For over four decades, Guru Smt. Kamala Nemani has dedicated her life to the sacred world of fine arts, enriching generations of students through the divine medium of Carnatic Music. A Sangeetha Vidhwan from the prestigious Adyar Music College, Chennai, she has been celebrated both as a gifted performer and a guiding teacher, whose music continues to resonate with depth, devotion, and discipline.
A prodigy blessed with rare versatility, Smt. Kamala received her training under legendary stalwarts such as Guru K. J. Sarasa, Guru Dr. Vempatti Chinasatyam, and the iconic Smt. Hema Malini, imbibing the grace of Bharatanatyam and the soul of Carnatic Music. She hails from a family of exceptional artists whose contributions to the South Indian film industry and the world of fine arts are cherished to this day, carrying forward an illustrious artistic lineage.
Her creativity transcends the stage—she is also an accomplished painter, mastering diverse Indian traditional art forms including Madhubani, Pattachitra, Gond, Pichwai, Cherial, Kerala Mural, and Tanjore painting. Each brushstroke reflects her deep reverence for India’s cultural heritage.
Today, as the Director of Sattvika School of Bharatanatyam and Carnatic Music, Hyderabad, she continues her noble journey alongside her daughter-in-law, Dr. Sathya S. N. Guru Kamala, nurtures aspiring artists, instilling in them not only the techniques of music and dance but also the spiritual essence, discipline, and values that make the fine arts a true path of self-realization.
